GOD BLESSED AMERICA – And Judgment Continues by Bro H
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Now hear what we did with what He gave. [Verse 1] From the seventeen-eighties through the eighteen-hundreds: The eye and pyramid appeared upon our Nation’s seal. We raised the capital with pagan images; The monuments proclaimed our national zeal. The Capitol was crowned; the obelisk was finished; Lady Liberty stood towering by the shore. The Civil War left sons dead in our own country; Yet wealth and power grew, and we demanded more. We worked the soil without its Sabbath resting; He said “The land is Mine”—yet we ignored the Lord. [Verse 2] Through the nineteen-hundreds, tens, and twenties: Income tax and central banking claimed their place. Usury demanded interest from our labor; Debt was passed to children we would never face. The birth-control clinics opened, and feminism Called marriage and motherhood chains to break. Hollywood sold pleasure without obligation; Our soldiers died in wars our leaders chose to wage. [Refrain — Sung] And judgment continues; The warnings were plain. We would not hear His Word, And we would not change. We forgot we were His people; We forgot whose name we bore. We abandoned His commandments, Yet asked for blessings more. [Verse 3] Through the thirties, forties, and the fifties: The government demanded monetary gold. The churches adopted “Judeo-Christian” doctrine; They called us Gentiles, and our heritage went untold. Another world war took our sons and treasure; Banker’s prospered while the graves were filled. The United Nations offered world cooperation; Washington recognized the Zionist state. Palestinians lost their homes, families and country; Television taught the values we began to imitate. [Verse 4] Through the sixties and the seventies: The courts struck down classroom prayer. School devotional Bible reading followed; The nation’s children lost that daily teaching there. Our troops were sent to fight in Vietnam; Monsanto’s chemical defoliants spread across the land. Roe brought nationwide abortion rights; The unborn lost protection by judicial command. The churches sold prosperity on television: Give to us, and God will give you more. [Refrain — Sung] And judgment continues; The warnings were plain. We would not hear His Word, And we would not change. We forgot we were His people; We forgot whose name we bore. We abandoned His commandments, Yet asked for blessings more. [Verse 5] Through the eighties and the nineties: The Ten Commandments in classrooms were taken down. MTV sold youth its idols and its pleasures; The entertainers wore the teacher’s crown. Drug advertising made the patient a sales target; Concealed risks and kickbacks turned care into deceit. The UN advanced Agenda Twenty-One; Firearm restrictions grew while we allowed each retreat. [Verse 6] Through the two-thousands and the twenty-tens: After the Twin Tower terror came surveillance, law and war. The Patriot Act expanded government power; Fear persuaded people to surrender more. The courts required recognition of same-sex marriage; Corporate money joined the Gay Pride campaigns. We financed Israel and armed its government; Churches changed their teaching for acceptance and acclaim. [Verse 7] Through the twenty-twenties to the present: COVID lockdowns closed the school and shop. Families were separated, churches shuttered; Emergency decrees governed work and worship. Vaccine requirements pressed upon employment; Consent was tied to keeping jobs and pay. Later warnings named vaccine-linked heart inflammation; The injured must be heard, not pushed away. Washington blocked a Gaza ceasefire resolution; More military funding followed anyway. The Great Reset proposed remaking our economies; UN programs sought to shape our digital lives. [Bridge] Innocent blood. Sexual sin. Idolatry. Usury. The land denied its Sabbath rest. “They mocked the messengers of God… Till there was no remedy.” “Shall I not punish them for these things? Shall I not avenge Myself On a nation such as this?” “The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule on their own authority; And My people love it so! But what will you do at the end of it?” [Final Refrain] And judgment continues; We must put away our sin. Cast down the idols we have raised; Let obedience begin. Restore His Law and righteous judgment; End the theft we have excused. Teach our children whom they serve; Keep the covenant we refused. [Spoken Ending] Until we repent as a nation, Acknowledge our sin, And turn from our wicked ways, Judgment continues. “On the day that I cleanse you From all your iniquities… The waste places will be rebuilt.” “The desolate land will be cultivated.” And you will know that I am the Lord.
