Tenses review cards
These cards are designed to help students revise and differentiate three basic English tenses: Present Simple, Present Continuous, and Past Simple.
Each card is divided into three parts. In every part, students can see different people performing actions, which represent different activities in different time contexts. At the top of each section, there are time markers — usually, now, and yesterday — to guide students in choosing the correct tense.
Learners observe the pictures, identify the action, and form sentences using the appropriate tense:
- Present Simple for regular actions (usually)
- Present Continuous for actions happening at the moment (now)
- Past Simple for completed actions (yesterday)
These cards are ideal for speaking practice, sentence building, and reinforcing students’ understanding of how time markers influence verb forms.
