Hettie Hat

I have made my partner a couple of my Hamilton hats now and I love how they feel in a squishy pure wool yarn but they are too big for me to wear comfortably.

Hettie is a sister hat to Hamilton with a similar checked texture but designed for a smaller head. It’s a quick knit in the round, that will keep you cosy. 

Add a pompom or leave it as a plain beanie depending on your style. And for a longer brim just add more rib rounds, if you have a full 100g of DK yarn you could easily add three or four cm.

Size: to fit a woman’s head 54cm

MATERIALS

160m DK yarn (approx 225m per 100g) Yellow sample made in Fyberspates Vivacious DK (100% merino wool), blue sampe in hand-dyed 100% 

merino yarn from For The Love of Yarn.

3.25mm circular needle 

Set of 3.25mm double pointed needles (optional for working crown decreases)
