The Scientist’s Experiment (intermediate Creative Writing)

You wake up on a cold metal table. Your friend is already gone. And the person standing across the room is someone you once trusted. This collaborative creative writing unit asks small groups to build a story about a brilliant but cold scientist whose experiment threatens lives—and the time-traveling hero who must stop them before it's too late. Working in roles (Character Designer, Lore Master, Plotter, Writer), students create a diplomatic protagonist, a morally complex antagonist, a loyal companion, and a laboratory setting where tension grows with every page. Includes an icebreaker, character creation sheets for the hero, scientist, and companion, setting guidelines, plot outline tools, and a full teacher's guide with rubrics and pacing support. Perfect for intermediate creative writing, workshops, or sub plans. No prep stress—just print and go.
