New in version 2: Expanded sizing for 6-12mo (2-4y), using worsted weight at a slightly larger gauge — be sure to follow instructions for chosen size in specified yarn weight and gauge.

The classics endure: A fully seamless, top-down sweater in DK weight for little ones 3-6 mo (12-24 mo, 4-6y), and in worsted weight for sizes 6-12 mo (2-4y), Kī pulls inspiration from Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Baby Sweater on Two Needles in Knitter’s Almanac, paired with the wavy shale pattern from my own Shaelyn shawl.

Pattern is written for five sizes and with options for short or long sleeves. Charts and written instructions included.

• Stitches are separated for working sleeves and body separately, then body is resumed and worked to bottom hem.
• Sleeves are worked in the round to the cuff, ending with puff-sleeve shaping before the garter stitch trim (a short-sleeve option is also included).
• Buttonholes are placed in a knit-as-you-go garter stitch band.
