Stress Management — Circles of Control Reflection Worksheet
This worksheet is designed to pair with the popular Circles of Control activity, helping clients move from discussion to reflection and action.
How it works:
- Clients list the stressors they identified during the group activity.
- They sort stressors into what’s within my control and what’s outside my control.
- For stressors inside their control, they write actionable steps they can take.
- For stressors outside their control, they brainstorm ways to practice letting go.
- Finally, clients choose what to prioritize in the upcoming week and reflect on how the activity helped them.
Why it works:
This worksheet turns the symbolic group exercise into something concrete and personal. It encourages self-awareness, accountability, and planning — while reinforcing coping skills in a way that clients can carry forward outside of group.
Perfect for:
- Group counseling
- Stress management groups
- Recovery and relapse prevention settings
- Schools, outpatient, and day treatment programs
Format: Printable PDF worksheet (black & white, easy to photocopy).
