Beneath A Winter Sky

Beneath a Winter Sky is a triangular-shaped shawl consisting of a garter and knot stitch pattern combined with a beaded stripe pattern.  Only one color is worked per row.  "Beaded" sections of Marianated Yarns Aerie Lace set against the blues and purples of the Galaxy Quest set are reminiscent of cool, wintry skies and twinkling stars at night.  The combination of the two different bases produces a shawl that is cozy, soft and full of drape!

24 sts by 36 rows = 4" in Knot Stitch Pattern using fingering weight yarn before blocking

22 sts by 34 rows = 4" in Knot Stitch Pattern using fingering weight yarn after blocking

One skein of Marianated Yarns Aerie Lace (72% superkid mohair/28% mulberry silk, 459 yds/50 g) in Stone Basin (MC) and one set of Marianated Yarns Six Pack Perfection Gradient Set (80% superwash merino/10% cashmere/10% nylon, six skeins, 133 yds/skein) in Galaxy Quest (Colors A through F).
