The Chosen Question

The videos say she’s chosen. But how could strangers know what God intends for her?

Since her husband’s death, seventy-one-year-old Helen Whitcomb has struggled with lonely evenings and an uncertain future. Then social media offers an explanation: she is specially chosen, anointed, and misunderstood because others cannot bear her spiritual light.

Part of Helen longs to believe it.

But when those messages make her question the motives of people she loves, their comfort begins to feel troubling. Is she finding encouragement—or being drawn toward pride and suspicion?

With questions in her notebook and guidance from her pastor and fellow volunteers, Helen begins examining what it means to follow God when ordinary faithfulness seems less impressive than an extraordinary destiny.

The Chosen Question by Mia Bills is thoughtful Christian fiction about grief, spiritual discernment, humility, and finding purpose beyond flattering promises.

Does she need a special title to live a meaningful life of faith?
