HOW TO MAKE YOUR FLAG!!!

✂️ What You’ll Need

To turn your printable into a cute handheld First Day of School flag like the one pictured, you’ll need:

• Printed flag page — cardstock is recommended so the flag holds its shape. TIP: laminate to keep from getting damaged, and reuse each year!
• Wooden Ruler— a wooden ruler works perfectly for the flag pole.
• Scissors — to cut around the triangle outline.
• Hot glue or strong craft glue — to attach the flag to the dowel.
• Ribbon or fabric strips — tie a few coordinating pieces around the top of the dowel for that finished, whimsical look. Gingham, lace, velvet, or torn fabric ribbon would all be adorable.

How to Assemble

Print your chosen flag design onto cardstock and carefully cut along the triangle outline. Attach one straight edge of the flag to your wooden ruler using hot glue or strong craft glue. Once secure, tie a few pieces of ribbon or fabric near the top of the ruler. Trim the ribbon ends to your desired length, and your First Day of School photo flag is ready! ✏️🍎
