It was a typical Saturday afternoon at the Robinsons' apartment. Diana, a 23-year-old BBW fashion student, was lounging on the couch in her yoga pants and crop top, watching reruns of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Her boyfriend Marcus, also a BBW, was sitting on the floor playing video games.

Marcus grumbled angrily, but was helpless to do anything but look up at his giant girlfriend. Diana spent hours amusing herself by playing with her tiny boyfriend - putting him in her cleavage, sliding him down her belly button, even making him wrestle a pill bug. She laughed until her sides hurt.

The sun was setting when Diana heard her mother pull into the parking lot. She knew her mom, Sharon, would be home any minute. In her haste, she forgot all about the puny Marcus still on the carpet.

Suddenly, the front door opened and Sharon walked in, carrying grocery bags. She kicked off her high heeled wooden clogs without looking down. Her foot came down in the perfect spot right on top of the miniscule man, smothering him instantly.

"Diana! I'm home honey," Sharon called out. "Why is it so dark in here?"

Diana jumped up, fumbling for the light switch. But her eyes were already welling up with tears. She knew it was too late. The Shrinker app still had 24 more hours before Marcus would return to normal size.

"Oh Mom... something terrible happened," Diana sobbed, pointing at the tiny red smear on the carpet under her mother's foot. "I shrunk Marcus down and I forgot he was there and you just... you killed him!"

Sharon gasped in horror, dropping the groceries. "What?! Diana, what are you talking about? What's going on?"

Between sobs, Diana explained how she used the app and how her mom had crushed Marcus accidentally. Sharon listened in stunned silence, glaring at the stain on the rug.

"Sugah, what have you done?!" Sharon exclaimed. "You've gone and killed your boyfriend! How are we gonna explain this?"

Diana wailed louder. "I don't know Mom! I'm so sorry! It was supposed to be funny but then I got distracted and forgot! Oh my God, what are we gonna do?!"

The two women stood there, one sobbing hysterically, the other in shocked disbelief. They both knew there was no going back. A life had been lost, and they had to figure out how to cover it up before anyone found out what really happened.

In the end, they concocted a story about Marcus having a sudden heart attack. The cops and coroner never suspected a thing. Diana kept her phone and the Shrinker app secret. The stain was just a stain to everyone else.

But Diana and Sharon knew the truth. And the guilt would haunt them for the rest of their lives. All because of a stupid app and a moment of negligence. One misstep and a life was snuffed out. The heavy weight of that night would forever be etched in their memories.
