"The Languages of Rhythm" video clip

This video has a story behind it. I created this composition in Konnakkol, and a year later, I met Mayoori, the Indian lady in the video. She was very excited to learn it.

Just for fun, I sent it to my friend, the amazing darbuka player Raquy Danziger, and suggested, "Why don't you learn it and play it on the darbuka?" She replied, "Sure, give me two weeks!" And she did it! She invited her friends Anna from Austria and Ariel from Canada. Later, I asked Paata from Russia to participate. That's how it became an international project!

You see, Konnakkol is a universal language that can be translated into the language of any instrument.
