Beyond the Plateau: Some Borders Aren’t Meant to Be Crossed

Some borders aren’t meant to be crossed.

Growing up in the Kentucky hills, Cole Barrett and his four closest friends were inseparable. They called themselves The Five. But adulthood scattered them across different lives—until the mysterious death of Dr. Jake Mercer reunites the surviving friends at his funeral.

Jake died while providing medical aid deep in the Amazon rainforest. The official explanation doesn’t add up, and the clues he left behind point toward something hidden beyond a remote plateau.

Determined to uncover the truth, Cole, Alex, Ethan, and Ben retrace Jake’s final expedition. What begins as the adventure of a lifetime becomes a brutal fight for survival when the jungle falls unnaturally silent and an ancient legend begins hunting them.

Their only hope is Amaya, a courageous village woman who understands the forbidden markings surrounding the creature’s territory. Together, they must reach the protected ground above the plateau before the thing in the darkness takes them one by one.

They entered the Amazon searching for the truth.

Something was waiting for them.

BEYOND THE PLATEAU is a gripping survival thriller about brotherhood, sacrifice, ancient terror, and the deadly consequences of crossing a forbidden boundary.
