Signed Hardcover — Inscribed to Your Reader by Name

Every copy ordered here is signed by hand and inscribed to the person who is going to own it, by name.

A book with someone's own name written in the front of it stops being a book from a shop. It becomes theirs, in the particular way that only two or three objects in a whole lifetime ever are. The one carried to bed. The one handed to a grown-up with instructions to read it properly, and slowly, and do the voices. The one that turns up in a box thirty years later with their name still in it, in ink, in the handwriting of the person who wrote the stories.

Add the name at checkout, spelled the way they spell it.

_____________

Todd is fourteen, which in cat years is old enough that you feel obliged to share your wisdom whether anyone is listening or not. He is myopic, wears reading glasses, and favors Dickens. Kevin is fourteen pounds of magnificence who has been considering a film career for some years now but cannot get around to having his headshots done. Richard is the smallest, wears three bells so everyone knows where he is, and has a line between his eyes that gives him a permanent expression of what?!

And there is Faerie, who feeds them, who is outnumbered, and who is — for the record — a dog person.

Seven stories, written and illustrated by Kate O'Neil, for reading aloud at the end of the day.
