Phased Intention Transmission
A Psychological Experiment in Silent Thought Transmission
In the early 1960s, a small group of experimental psychologists began exploring a radical question: Could a human desire be transmitted from one mind to another … without a single word spoken? Their work focused not on guessing thoughts, but on something deeper ...
The projection of intention itself.
Participants were asked to secretly select a personal desire from a list of archetypal human motivations:
Love. Peace. Wealth. Freedom. Belonging. Success, 15 motivations in total.
Through a series of five psychological fixation phases, the participant silently internalizes the desire, concentrating upon it until it becomes emotionally, subtly charged.
Then comes the experiment. A moment of silence. No speaking. No writing. And yet, somehow … the thought is received.
So What Is It?
Phased Intention Transmission Study is a mentalism experiment presented as a recovered psychological protocol from 1964. Using a carefully designed manuscript and a progressive series of fixation phases (7 pages to be printed and stapled), a participant silently focuses on a personal desire while the performer attempts to receive the transmitted thought.
The structure feels less like a “trick” and more like a genuine psychological experiment unfolding in real time. The result is direct, personal, and deeply mysterious. No cards. No memory work. And an included Red Herring to the method!
No fishing.
No questions.
No apparent method
Just a thought … crossing the silence between two minds.
If you're a Magician or Mentalist you most likely know the method, but there's a red herring included in the protocol that perhaps you have never seen!
Included:
• The "Phased Intention Transmission" instructions PDF
• A "clean" printable 7 page PDF copy of the "Phased Intention Transmission" protocol (to print on aged paper)
• A "scanned" printable 7 page PDF copy of the "Phased Intention Transmission" protocol (my favorite way to perform this)
• A method designed for maximum psychological believability!
Perfect For:
Mentalists
Bizarre magicians
Psychological performers
Story-driven magic
This is not a quick trick. It is an experience.
The question is not whether thoughts can be transmitted … the question is ...
What happens when someone concentrates on a desire so strongly … that another mind begins to hear it?
