“Culture Through Food” came together with the purpose to support the Black Lives Matter Movement and the Asian American Pacific Islander Community. This ebook is composed of authentic recipes from some of your favourite food bloggers to share a part of our respective cultures. We’re traveling from Asia, Southeast Asia, The Caribbean, Jamaica, Africa, and Mexico!

Living in a community surrounded by food, we may often forget that being able to try new foods from around the world is a privilege. But to some, food is not as accessible. The two organizations that were chosen to support revolve around providing food to communities that are facing food insecurity. All proceeds from this e-book will be donated to the non-profit organizations, The Okra Project and Heart of Dinner.

The Okra Project brings awareness to the difficulties that Black Trans people face in regards to food insecurity by providing them with home cooked, healthy and culturally specific meals and resources.

Heart of Dinner’s mission is to fight food insecurity and isolation that many Asian American seniors face by nourishing elders with a weekly hot lunch, fresh produce ingredients, and hand-written notes of care and support in New York City.

Thank you so much for your support and we hope you love the recipes we've shared ♡.
