Session Mallets For Zampler

This major soundware package is now available individually or as part of Zampler Instruments Complete.

It features four tuned percussion mallet instrument groups with a number of patches for each group.

So we've got a Xylophone for Zampler, powerful marimba sounds, a delicate glockenspiel, and the mighty vibraphone for Zampler.

Mallet instruments are very dynamic, meaning the timbre of the sound changes dramatically depending upon how, and how hard the instrument is struck. It was actually quite a lot more work and hours than we thought when we originally embarked on the project. But we got there in the end....

Mallet instruments are heard in all kinds of music including pop, ambient and jazz. Xylophones and marimbas in particular have played a front and centre roll in tracks by Tears For Fears, Frank Zappa (of course) usually played by the amazing Ruth Underwood, Gong* (of course), The Christians, and even Whitney Houston got in on the act with a vibraphone solo on 'Love Will Save The Day' from her eponymous debut album.
