WorkDesk

WorkDesk is a self-contained dashboard for team managers who want their tasks,

metrics and team reviews in one place — without sending anything to the cloud.

It runs locally on your own Windows PC. There are no accounts, no subscriptions,

and no data ever leaves your machine. You buy it once and it is yours.

What it does

Optional built-in AI (runs locally too)

WorkDesk can summarise pasted emails and messages into action items, and can

draft coaching feedback on review forms — all using a local AI model via the

free tool Ollama. This is completely optional. Everything else works without it,

and the app guides you through the one-time setup on first run.

A few things worth knowing

• Completed tasks stay visible for 24 hours, then move automatically to the
• Archive tab (not deleted — just tidied away).
• Recurring tasks create their next occurrence the moment you mark the
• current one done, so you'll briefly see both — expected, not a duplicate.
• A team member's review cycle only moves on when you click "Complete
• cycle" yourself — late reviews still count in the cycle you're working on.
• The monthly score chart updates live as you log reviews, and simply locks
• in once you complete that cycle.

Who it is for

Team leads and managers who like the idea of a personal command centre they

fully control, and who are comfortable with a light one-time setup.

This is sold as-is, with no ongoing support and no warranty. It is a

self-setup product for people who are comfortable following written

instructions.

• Windows only.
• Two ways to run it: a ready-made WorkDesk.exe (just double-click), or
• run from source with Python — full instructions included.
• The optional AI features need a separate free install (Ollama). Without
• it, the app still runs fully; only the AI summaries are replaced with your own
• notes.
• Your data is yours: stored in plain files on your PC. Back them up.
• No refunds for setup difficulty — everything needed is in the included
• README. Please only buy if you are comfortable with that.
