This is an actual A3, which was approved by Senior Management at a multinational, Fortune 1,000 company. The A3 details a software development process that was taking too long to complete, as well as the accompanying analysis, countermeasures and follow up that successfully addressed the problem.

This A3 also demonstrates how A3 Thinking is used to narrow the scope of a larger problem into something actionable within a quicker time frame. Specifically, data on volume, hours, etc. was used to narrow the team's improvement focus to execute quicker. Then, the proven countermeasures were replicated to applicable project types.
