The male shrinking virus had claimed nearly all men on the planet. Men were brought into facilities that acted like animal shelters that helped men get adopted out to a caring female. The men shrank to varying sizes. Some men continued to shrink after they were brought to the shelter. Some ended up as small as insects. These men were forgotten about as there was littie that could be done for them except.for euthanasia. Euthanasia was acomplished by letting the men go on the lobby floor and letting nature take its course. The women did not have the heart to knowingly crush the tiny men so letting them go and be crushed by chance was more tolerable:
