Order of Operations Around the Clock Partner Scavenger Hunt | PEMDAS Practice
Give students a collaborative way to practice order of operations with this Order of Operations Around the Clock Partner Activity. Students work with a partner to solve order of operations problems that include exponents.
Each partner has their own clock with 12 unique problems. The problems are different for each partner, but the answers and clock placement are the same. This gives students a built-in way to compare answers, check work, and talk through mistakes if their results do not match.
Students begin with the problem marked by a star and glue it to the 12 o’clock spot. After solving, they find the matching answer at the top of another problem card and glue that card to the 1 o’clock spot. Students continue solving and matching until they move around the clock and return back to the 12 o’clock spot.
