Labyrinthian explores the ways in which maze-like shapes can be combined to create geometric shapes.

SIZING
This shawl is designed in one size, but with options to create an inverted trapezium shape or a triangular shape.

Both versions have a width of ~65” / 162.5cm. The depth of the inverted trapezium is ~26” / 65cm; the depth of the triangular version is ~29” / 72.5cm.

GAUGE
Using 3.25mm / US size 3 needles, or needle size required to meet gauge, 28 stitches over 32 rounds in stockinette stitch, blocked, creates a 4x4”/10x10cm square.

YARN
The shawl requires fingering / sock weight yarn. Either superwash or nonsuperwash yarn can be used, although if working with superwash yarn I recommend machine sewing the steek to ensure the stitches are secured.
The sample is worked using Val Fruborg’s Merino Sock yarn (75% Superwash Merino / 25% Nylon; 425m per 100g) with colourways Onodrim as the main colour and Limpet as the contrast colour.
