The Huddelston Scarf is crocheted from end to end widening slightly in the center and can be made with any weight yarn and an appropriately sized hook.
Yarn: Classic Elite Yarns Classic One Fifty (now discontinued); Sport weight; 100% merino wool; 150 yards (137 m)/ 50 g.
2 skeins.
The sample used 65 g, 195 yards (178 m) excluding the tassels.
Hook: US H/8, UK 6, 5 mm.
Gauge: 17 treble stitches X 5½ rows = 4 X 4 inches (10 X 10 cm), in pattern, before blocking.
17 treble stitches X 5 rows = 4 X 4 inches (10 X 10 cm), in pattern, after blocking.
Exact gauge is not crucial for this project.
Finished Size: The sample measures 60 inches across the top and 4½ inches at the widest point (152 X 12 cm) after blocking.
