Stages of Change
How to do it...
A good failsafe system is built on small, repeatable actions that trigger automatically, no matter how you're feeling. Here's one example:
The 3-Step Morning Reset System
First The Trigger: As soon as you finish brushing your teeth, go straight to your “reset space” (a chair, desk, or quiet spot).
Second Take Action: Spend 2 minutes reviewing your top 3 priorities for the day, written down the night before.
Third Anchor It: Do one small action toward the first priority—send a message, open a file, or set a timer to begin.
This system can work because it starts with a cue (brushing your teeth), is short and doable (2–5 minutes), and creates momentum without needing motivation.
It’s predictable, easy to follow, and keeps you moving—even on hard days. That’s the power of systems over willpower.
