Recognizing Your Emotions is a 15-page printable guide from The Damselfly Path, inviting you to become more familiar with the emotions that come up in your everyday life.

I am inviting you to begin with a month of noticing. Choose one of three distinct practices that fits your life. You can continue, return to a practice, or try another approach whenever it is useful to you.

INSIDE YOUR GUIDE

• A Daily Pause to Notice Your Emotions: one pause each day to look back over the past 24 hours, with a reusable journal page.

• Keeping an Emotional Notebook: brief notes when an emotion catches your attention, with guidance and an example.

• A Weekly Pause for Yourself: a welcoming moment with a favourite drink and time to reflect, supported by a weekly reflection page.

• Words for your emotions: a reference to help you find words that fit your experience.

• My Emotional Landscape: a collage activity, an illustrative example, and open reflection questions to bring together what you are beginning to recognize.

The practices invite you to name emotions and notice any physical sensations that may be connected. Connecting with your emotions is an ongoing process. Your reflections and collage can help you see what you have learned and what you would like to keep exploring.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

One 15-page English-language PDF, including the cover, introduction, three practices, emotion-word reference, journal and reflection pages, collage activity, example, and author page. This is a digital download. No physical book, notebook, art materials, or other supplies are included.

PRINTING AND USING YOUR GUIDE

Designed for US Letter paper (8.5 × 11 inches). For A4, select Fit to page. Print the pages you need and additional journal or reflection pages for your own use. You may also read on screen and write in a notebook. The PDF has no fillable form fields. No artistic experience is required for the collage activity.

ABOUT ITS CREATION

I developed this guide through my work on The Damselfly Path curriculum, choosing its purpose, practices, structure, and revisions. AI tools assisted with drafting and editing text and with document layout. The cover illustration and illustrative collage example were generated using AI. The collage image is an illustration, not a photograph of a handmade collage.

USE OF THIS GUIDE

For personal use. You may print copies for your own use. Please do not redistribute, share, or resell the PDF. For group or professional use, contact me before using the guide with others.
