Sakura is a pattern for an oversized and deep yoked jumper. It is worked from the top down and in the round using the stranded knitting technique. You may work the flower centres with 3 colours over the round or complete later with embroidery.

There is some room to personalize for best fit, but please see schematic for all finished measurements.
Charts with symbols are also included, in addition to grey-scale charts.


Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL) 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL.

Finished bust measurement: 39.5 (43.25, 48, 51.25) 57.5, 60.75, 64.75 (70.5, 75.5) in/ 100.5 (110, 122, 130) 146, 154.5, 164.5 (179, 192) cm

To be worn with approximately 2 - 14”/ 5 - 35.5cm of positive ease; shown on models with 14”, 10”, and 1” of positive ease.

Needles: US 6/ 4.0mm or size to obtain gauge in SS (main needle), US 7/ 4.5mm or size to obtain gauge in colorwork, and US 5/ 3.5mm or 1 size smaller than main needle; 32”/ 80cm to 80”/ 200cm circulars, depending on garment size (all needle sizes) and DPNs, short circulars or magic loop for sleeves (main and colorwork needles only).

Gauge: 20 sts x 24 rnds = 4”/ 10cm over single-color stockinette (blocked).
20 sts x 23 rnds = 4”/ 10cm over Fair Isle pattern (blocked).

Yarn: worsted weight in three colors: 780 (850, 925, 975, 1125) 1200, 1300, 1500, 1700 yards/ 714 (778, 845, 891, 1029) 1097, 1189, 1371, 1554 meters MC; 330 (345, 430, 460, 550) 575, 690, 750, 805 yards/ 302 (315, 393, 420, 503) 526, 631, 685, 736 meters CC1; 100 yards/ 92 meters CC2.

Notions: 1 stitch marker, scrap yarn, tapestry needle.

Sample knit in: The Plucky Knitter Hazel Worsted (80% Merino, 20% Cashmere goat; 260 yards/ 238 meters per 100g) in Tea & Sympathy (MC) and Keepsake (CC2). The Plucky Knitter Halo Worsted (100% Cashmere goat; 115 yards/ 105 meters per 60g) in Antiqued (CC1).
