Have you ever had a mango?

Hi, I'm Mbutu. I live in a small, quiet village with my mother and father, where I love the people, the sounds, and especially one very special time of year: mango season!

Have you ever tasted a ripe mango? It is juicy, sweet, and delicious. For me, mango season is the best time of year. But this mango season was different. That's why this story is called Mbutu's Mangos.

When I noticed all those beautiful mangos falling to the ground and beginning to rot, I decided I had to do something. What started as an effort to save the mangos became an adventure—and along the way, I discovered some important things about patience, nature, caring for the earth, and caring for one another.

Mbutu's Mangos is my story. I'm sharing my adventures with you because sometimes the smallest seed can teach us the biggest lessons.

Come with me into my village, where mango trees are full of fruit, the earth has something to teach us, and an ordinary mango season becomes an unforgettable adventure.
