135 Clinical Research Topics
Many first-time researchers get stuck on one question: what should my study be about? This book gives you a practical starting point. It opens with a short chapter on the research title, what it is, why it matters, how it changes by study type, and how to build one: primary outcome + study population + setting + time. The main part then sets out 135 clinical research topics across 27 specialties, including cardiology, endocrinology, nursing, paediatrics, surgery, neurology, oncology, public health, psychiatry and radiology. Each topic comes in five fields: title, primary outcome, study population, study design and evidence summary. Every topic is followed by three published papers, all original research indexed by PubMed and matched to the topic in subject and design; papers marked free full text can be read in full. The topics are a starting point, not a fixed menu: check each against your own setting and talk to your supervisor before you commit. The goal is that you finish the book able to write a sound title of your own. Written by Vu Duy Kien, MD, PhD. Formats: A5 PDF and EPUB.
