Noah has the worst luck ever. Getting fired and dropped from his FWB all in the same night. This is just a regular night for him though. On his way home he stops at The Magic Shop. There the Owner reads his tarot cards and next thing Noah is on the way to Scotland. Landing in London with a zap Noah just knows things are going to be looking up. That is after he stops a run away double decker bus and foils a kidnapping. He's about to take a dive off a train when a sexy gargoyle swoops in and saves him.
Elryk is the man who keep the Darkwing Clan safe. His oracle tells him danger is coming and their savior is heading their way too. Elryk heads off to find their savior and ends up saving him from a tumble from a train. Back at the Darkwing Castle he realizes that this stranger is his fated mate. While he's happy to find his fated, he's also sure that he won't want to live with him at the castle. Elryk helps Noah come into his own and they band together with the other gargoyle warriors to fight off the danger that's come.
I thought this was a really good fantasy/romance. I really liked how the author worked in the tarot and Owner, while still having her own book. This is also tangentially connected to the Monster Hollow series. I thought Noah was a hoot and loved all his movie and music references. I thought Noah and Elryk had good chemistry. I liked Elryk's BF Braewyn. I could definitely see him and Noah getting into all kinds of trouble. I liked Nessar and definitely think he deserves a fated mates story. I was sad and intrigued about Sorwyn. I'd like to know his story. I'm looking forward to more books in this world.
