This is one of the best Christmas albums I've heard recently, because Geri Allen was simply exceptional! Here she re-harmonizes Amazing Grace with great delicacy and a very modern feel.
As always with a rubato piece, I tried not to overload the score, finding a balance between the precision of the rhythm transcription and the simplicity of a readable idea. Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do!
