Banjo Tab PDF + MP3

Down-the-neck Breaks to complement the classic Scruggs Up-the-neck Breaks heard on the 'Foggy Mountain Banjo' album

Details: The tab contains 3 down-the-neck banjo breaks. The 1st Break follows the melody closely and has the pick-up notes suitable to kick off the song. The 2nd Break still stays close to the melody but is a busier and hotter break than the 1st. The 3rd Break starts with a rhythmic variation and uses backward rolls on the C7 both times, first at the third fret and later at the 8th fret, all the while supporting the melody.

The first Down-the-neck Break works well as the kickoff to the vocal version of this tune, usually titled "Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad".

Style: Scruggs-style/Tom Adams-style 3-finger banjo playing
Key of G, down-the-neck banjo breaks
G Tuning, gDGBD
51 measures
