Lapel microphones aren't the easiest of things to get great results from when using them with a PA system.

It's often difficult to get enough gain from them before they feedback, and they can sometime sound rather 'thin', not exactly 'full bodied'.

You need a properly EQ'd system, but you also need a quality mic and wireless system.

Cheap lapel wireless systems, in my experience, are next to useless.

The Electrovoice RE300-L is a professional wireless lapel microphone system features the EV ULM-18 lapel/tie clip microphone that delivers much better results than a cheap, off the shelf tie clip mic found in lesser wireless mic systems.

The BP-300 bodypack supplied is a sturdy all metal enclosure for lasting durability, and the R-300 receiver is also built into a metal box with detachable UHF aerials and LCD display for frequqncy setting, etc.

The system also features EV's ClearScan infra red frequency setting. Just select your frequency on the receiver and the push the ClearScan button to let the transmitter know. Easy!
