The Karja blanket pattern is the sixth pattern in the collection inspired by a rich heritage of Estonian national costumes. The pattern was inspired by a woven belt bought for the Estonian National Museum from Karja Parish, island of Saaremaa.

The other blanket patterns in the series released to date are the Urvaste, the Peetri, the Tartu, the Hanila, and the Viru-Nigula.

The blanket is worked in a mosaic garter stitch. The body of the blanket is worked in one piece with the side panels knitted separately and sewn on.

The charts are also given in reversed colours (in a separate file) for ease of use if you decide to swap the light and dark colours in your blanket.
