Ever had your mind glaze over when people start talking to you about diets, food health, fitness and exercise? Then this is the book for you. No fluff, no long speeches, just the facts of synergistically combining fasting protocols with sensible eating and exercise.

Especially useful if you have Candida overgrowth, which is a very common and often undiagnosed situation for many people, given the unfortunate ubiquitousness of processed and sugary foods.

This small booklet contains complete fasting protocols for 3, 5, 7, 10, and 14 day water only fasts (plus supplements), daily descriptors of what food to eat, for each day of the week (with various replacements so you don't get bored of eating the same thing every week), and daily exercise protocols for each stage, refeeding after the fast, getting fit, maintaining the fitness, or getting fit to athlete levels. The sections are modular so you don't need to fast, or exercise, you may just want to eat healthier, or start exercising without the other parts of the program. Without any of the filler usually found in health books, this is a quick, practical, get-up-and-do-it no nonsense guide that can be read in one sitting of a few minutes, and also includes 8 recipes to build your own fermented foods that will improve your gut biome and hopefully also form part of your regular diet.

Pros: this is an easy to use reference book for fasting over various windows. If you’re Catholic, you have at least four windows where a three or five day water fast makes sense, the Ember Days, in addition to Holy Week and possibly during Advent. So get this book.

Recipes: I like the kick in the rear end to make your own fermented foods. Some are easy, like kefir, others possibly less so.

Exercise: Simple and to the point, plus non-prescriptive other than encouraging you to also do social sports.

Overall, I liked the brevity and practicality. My mind is too important to allow brain fog from candida.

I would’ve liked Giuseppe to write more about his exercise regime, but that doesn’t take away from this book.
