Greek for Adults - Beginners A1

This course has been designed to provide adult learners with a solid foundation in the Greek language, focusing on practical communication skills and cultural insights. This course is suitable for beginners with little to no prior knowledge of the Greek language. 

Aim: Students will be able to confidently engage in basic conversations, understand simple texts, and navigate common everyday situations in a Greek-speaking environment.

Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• understand the Greek alphabet and pronunciation

• use basic greetings, introductions, and farewells

• recognise simple expressions of politeness and gratitude

• learn numbers, days of the week, and months

• learn nouns, articles, and basic sentence structure

• conjugate verbs in the Present Simple, Simple Past and Future Simple

• express likes, dislikes, and preferences

• order food and drinks in a restaurant

• ask for and giving directions

• use adjectives and adverbs for descriptions

• talk about family, occupation, and hobbies

• discuss locations and objects using prepositions

• explore Greek customs, traditions, and social etiquette
