An n8n workflow template that turns one piece of content into drafts for several channels, and waits for your OK before anything goes to Buffer.

You give it: a YouTube or social video link, an audio or video file URL, an article URL, or plain text.

You get back:

- A LinkedIn post

- An X thread

- An Instagram caption

- A blog post in Markdown (with an optional WordPress draft)

- Clip timestamps with suggested hooks

- One log row per run with token usage and estimated cost

How it works

1. Transcript. Supadata for video links, Whisper for audio and video files, text extraction for articles, or your pasted text.

2. Drafts. One call to Google Gemini by default (a free Google AI Studio key works). The output is checked against a strict JSON format and trimmed to each platform's length limit. You can swap in another chat model n8n supports by changing one node.

3. Approval. Approve and Reject buttons in Telegram, Slack or email (Resend or Gmail). Each link carries a one-time key, and requests expire after a time you set. You can switch approval off if you want it fully automatic.

4. Publish. One Buffer post per connected channel, as a Buffer draft or straight into your queue. Or send the approved pack to your own webhook. Optional WordPress draft.

5. Log. Airtable or Google Sheets.

Details that save you trouble

- Every setting lives in one Config node. No API keys are stored in the workflow; they live in n8n credentials.

- Sources it has already processed are skipped, so a retry does not create duplicate posts or extra costs.

- API calls retry automatically, and one failing channel does not stop the others.

- An included error workflow alerts you with the failing step and a suggested fix.

What has been tested, and what has not

Tested on self-hosted n8n 2.44.6:

- 24 scenario tests against mock APIs, covering every source type, all three approval channels, approve, reject, timeout, dedupe, partial failures and the error workflow.

- Live runs with real Google Gemini drafting and real Buffer (posts created as drafts, checked, then deleted).

- Email approval through Resend: the approval email reached a Gmail inbox (not spam), and its Approve link resumed the run.

Not tested yet:

- Approving from a phone. This needs your n8n on a public HTTPS address (WEBHOOK_URL). Our tests ran on a local instance.

- The Gmail sending option (only Resend was tested live).

- Corporate email security tools that open links automatically. These could click Approve for you. If your company uses one, use Telegram or Slack approval instead.

- Live Supadata, Whisper, Slack, Telegram, Airtable, Google Sheets and WordPress accounts (tested against mocks only).

- Buffer LinkedIn and Instagram channels, and Buffer queue mode.

- n8n Cloud and n8n 1.x.

- The free Lite edition was tested before the switch to Gemini and has not been re-run since.
