## Qín Shǐ Huáng Dì — A New Remaster

Some musical journeys do not end when the music is first created. Sometimes, they simply wait for the right moment to return.

Originally composed in 2024/2025, *Qín Shǐ Huáng Dì* remained on my computer for a long time. Now, it returns in a new remastered version — not as a new composition, but as a renewed encounter with a work that has been waiting patiently for its next chapter.

Inspired by Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor to unify China, this piece explores a world of imperial ambition, immense power, loneliness and defiance. It brings together Western orchestral language and Chinese musical colours in a dramatic soundscape that moves between restraint and eruption, shadow and fire, human solitude and almost impossible ambition.

For me, this is not simply a portrait of an emperor. It is also a musical reflection on the price of greatness, the limits of power and the restless human desire to challenge the heavens themselves.

Sometimes, the past does not remain behind us. Sometimes, we return to it and discover that we can hear it differently.

## 秦始皇——全新重制版

有些音乐旅程，并不会随着作品的诞生而结束。有时候，它们只是在等待一个合适的时刻，再次归来。

《秦始皇》最初创作于2024至2025年间。此后，这部作品在我的电脑里沉寂了很长一段时间。如今，它以全新的重制版本重新呈现——这并不是一首全新的作品，而是一次与旧作的再次相遇，也是让它开启下一段旅程的机会。

作品以中国第一位完成大一统的皇帝秦始皇为灵感，探索权力、雄心、孤独与不屈的意志。西方管弦乐的表达与中国音乐的色彩在这里交织，构成一幅充满戏剧张力的声音画卷：克制与爆发、阴影与烈火、孤独的人心与近乎无止境的雄心彼此碰撞。

对我而言，这不仅仅是对一位帝王的音乐描绘，也是在思考伟大所付出的代价、权力的边界，以及人类那种不甘于命运、甚至想要挑战苍穹的执念。

有时候，过去并不会真正留在过去。当我们再次回望它，或许会听见一些从前未曾听见的东西。
