The harsh economic environment pushed many to seek greater pastures in countries far and near. But in pursuit of a better life, they came face to face with brutal violence in xenophobic attacks, forced labour, and denied medical care. Life became a death trap in what was thought to be a solution to troubles at home. But some seem to have found a winning formula, yet entitled relatives await with intractable appetite for alms.
