Whiteowlcrochetco. Rowan Wall Hanging
** Current version: v1 (July 2021).
Rowan is a modern wall-hanging that incorporates knit lace-work and intarsia colour-blocking.
This piece could also be framed as a piece of art, or sewn together with other Rowan blocks to create a blanket.
This wall hanging is worked in 3 colours and is worked from the bottom-up in rows. The garter stitch background is worked in one colour, the lacework is worked in a second, and the fringe is worked in a third. You will have 3 skeins of working yarn attached at once - two for the background and one for the lace. The transition from the background to the lace section is joined with the Intarsia join method.
This would be a great project for an easy-intermediate knitter! Skill level: 2/4.
