A sideways-knit pixie Hat is similar to a beanie, with short rows either worked at a lower rate or at the same rate, with less panels worked, to create the pointy tip. Simple and oh so cute.

Available as a single pattern or as part of the Get Garter collection.

Get Garter is an entry-level guide to sideways Hat knitting.

Six different constructions are explained, supplemented with thorough explanations of the underlying structure and maths, empowering you to venture beyond the pattern and create your own unique Hats.

Interesting, non standard hat knitting construction, excellently written

This hat was to be a gift for a friend and I had yarn specifically bought for it, similar to the example shown on this site.
It was very well explained, interesting because the construction is a garter stitch , sideways knit (brilliant) and so much flexibility in the pattern for sizing and so on.
Incredibly detailed pattern and gave a fantastic resulting hat.
