The Music Theory Word will give you a better understanding of the topics and concepts of musical performance theory. Your understanding of classical music theory will go to a whole new level. Every day, subscribers receive an email describing a word or term or concept in the category. Here's an eample:

Accidental:


A symbol used to alter the pitch of a note within a musical piece.

·      Accidentals include sharps (#), flats (♭), and naturals (♮).

·      They appear in sheet music before the affected note.

·      For example, a C♯ raises the pitch of a C note. Genres: Used across various genres.



The daily email will define a word or term or concept in that category, as well as provide other information for context and for clarity.
