The STEER Meditation Collection: Anxiety
Your mind won't stop. Your chest is tight. Everything feels like too much, all at once.
When you're anxious and overwhelmed, it can feel like every warning light inside you is blinking at the same time. Your nervous system is scanning for danger, bracing for the next thing, convinced that if you stop even for a moment, everything will fall apart.
It won't. And you are allowed to slow down.
This meditation gently helps your body understand what your mind can't quite believe right now: that you are safe, that you've survived so much already, and that rest is not falling behind. It's how you find your way back to yourself.
In this 15-minute guided practice, you will:
- Give your nervous system fast, real relief with a simple breathing technique your body already knows how to use.
- Understand why your mind won't stop, and why that's a sign of an exhausted system, not a broken one.
- Build your own calm place, a fully sensory inner refuge you can return to any time the world gets too loud.
- Come back to yourself feeling grounded, steady, and reminded that you slowed down, and nothing fell apart.
Who this is for:
Anyone whose mind races, whose to-do list never ends, and who carries the quiet fear that slowing down isn't allowed. If you've been pushing through for a long time and your body is asking you to stop, this practice meets you exactly where you are.
What you get:
A professionally guided audio meditation you can return to any time anxiety or overwhelm takes hold, whether you need to reset in the middle of a hard day or come home to yourself at the end of one. Practice it in the moment, or build it into your regular self-regulation routine.
Created by Sarah Ferland Doherty, MSW, RSW, trauma therapist and founder of Asentriarc Wellness, using the STEER Method, a nervous system regulation framework built on polyvagal theory, somatic experiencing, and attachment science.
You've been holding so much. Let's set some of it down, together.
