Flying Geese Paper Pieced Pattern

Flying Geese are some of my favourite units to make in quilting. But they aren't always fun to make in the traditional cutting and piecing method. However, foundation piece these geese and it's so much easier! The accuracy comes in the piecing, as you're literally sewing on a line in order.

To make this versatile, this pattern includes templates to make single goose units and also rows of four geese. Even better, there's a range of 7 sizes included from geese measuring 1" wide up to 4" wide (increasing in 1/2" increments.

Single geese templates come in sizes (width by height):

2” x 1”

3” x 1 ½”

4” x 2”

5” x 2 ½”

6” x 3”

7” x 3 ½”

8” x 4”

Row of geese templates come in sizes (width by height):

1” x 2”

1 ½” x 3”

2” x 4”

2½” x 5”

3” x 6”

3½” x 7”

4” x 8”

Each of the rows include four geese, but should you need more, simply join templates together to create the length required.

Included in the pattern: full sized templates with a quarter inch seam allowance already added. There are no Y-seams in this pattern (or in any of my patterns).

Foundation paper piecing instructions are not included, but you can find tutorials on my website at quietplaydesigns.com. It is recommended that you print the pattern at "Actual Size" and with no scaling. There are also printing hints & tips on my website.
