Spanish Speaking Practice Group (A1+/A2)

Build confidence speaking Spanish in a friendly, supportive environment.

Already know some basic Spanish but don't get enough chance to actually speak? This weekly conversation group is designed to help you put your Spanish into practice and become more confident communicating in real-life situations.

This 30-minute speaking practice session follows one of our Spanish classes, so some students attending will have just completed the 6:00–7:00 pm lesson beforehand. However, you do not need to attend that lesson to join the speaking group. Each session is planned so that everyone can take part, regardless of whether they've attended the class beforehand.

Every week we'll explore a different practical topic, helping you build fluency, confidence and vocabulary through guided conversation, games and interactive activities.

Topics may include:

• Introducing yourself
• Hobbies and interests
• Free time and weekends
• Family and friends
• Where you live
• Asking for and giving directions
• Getting around town
• Shopping and eating out
• Holidays and travel
• Making plans
• Everyday conversations

We'll also naturally reinforce key grammar as it arises in conversation, including present tense verbs, common irregular verbs, boot verbs, question words, opinions, ser vs estar, gustar, and other useful everyday structures.

This is not a formal grammar lesson. Instead, the focus is on speaking as much Spanish as possible in a relaxed and supportive environment. You'll be encouraged to use the language you already know, ask questions, learn from others and gradually build confidence speaking in real-life situations.

Whether you've completed a beginner's course elsewhere or simply want more opportunities to practise speaking, this group is a great way to improve your confidence and fluency.
