Iced Ring Biscuit Blocks FPP Sewing Pattern: Mini, Nice, Mega (PDF Pattern)

It’s not a party without….. at least a whole packet!!! 

This packet contains the “Nice Iced Ring”, “Mega Nice Iced Ring” and “Mini Nice Iced Ring” foundation paper sewing patterns. The packet provides instructions with diagrams alongside all pattern pieces required for the front and back of a classic British biscuit in the Mini 4”x 4”, Nice 8”x8” and Mega 16”x 16” block sizes, which have increasing levels of detail.  

The design is based on my favourite childhood biscuit including dripping icing and was created during the English lock down of Spring 2020 to revive the joy they bring me.  I had to make a bigger, more detailed version to show the iconic dragged icing and ridge pattern on the back and smaller versions to make a table runner and pin cushions. The blocks have several possible options when piecing and included are suggested makes, hacks and variations. 

Moderate to advanced difficulty level - includes a Y seam. Experience using the foundation paper piecing sewing technique is highly recommended as these instructions do not teach you to foundation paper piece. For help with foundation paper piecing and tips and tricks visit my blog www.andsewi.com. 

The blocks are 4.5” x 4.5”, 8.5” x 8.5” and 16.5” x 16.5” (including 1/4" seam on all sides).

The item is a PDF download. You can then print and make the blocks as many times as you want. This listing doesn’t include fabric to make the pattern or a paper copy of the pattern.
