Crown's Court Granny Square

A Granny Square is always a delight to design and this square is no different.

The mini shell used in the design (sc, ch2, 2dc) creates a lovely wreath like effect when worked in the round. Hence the name Crown’s Court!

The square is easy to make and can be made with different yarn/ thread weights to make the project bigger or smaller.

The versatility of the granny square is only limited by our imagination! Make it one big square by just repeating the last round of the pattern or make several and join. You can’t go wrong with this pattern!

The prototype was made with Vardhman Cotton Dreamz , a 4ply cotton. Lion Brand 24/7 , Big Twist Cotton , PaintBox Aran Cotton, Peaches and Cream cotton are viable yarn substitutes.

Used 4 mm hook to achieve this look.

Other Indian yarns to substitute will be Laura Knitting Cotton, Anchor 4 ply Knitting Cotton, Muskan Cotton, YarnKart’s Cotton.
