The pretty picot hem is worked with a provisional cast on and sewn hem to decrease bulk. However, you can always work a regular cast on and simply sew the hems.

The vintage lace patterns, from Barbara Walker’s Treasury of Knitting Patterns (Arrowhead Lace) and 2nd Treasury of Knitting Patterns (Honeybee Lace, Faggoting), are modified to be worked in the round.

Worked with less than 1 skein of heavy fingering or sport weight yarn, this is a lovely, fun project, great for gifts or for yourself.
