The story of the Bars surname: a rare surname whose origin nobody explains, civil registration in 1871 and the first written traces, the Venetian plain between the rivers, the many Bars families abroad and the link to Italy that no record proves, the map of today's Bars families, and an honest page about the coat of arms.

At the end, a family tree to fill in and a surname scroll to print.
