CRT-80 by FRAMES is a drag-and-drop effect for DaVinci Resolve. It simulates a real tube TV in a single effect: curved glass, scanlines, glowing phosphors and the analog signal feeding them. Drop it on a clip or adjustment layer, pick a preset, and you’re done. You don’t need to touch Fusion.

80s Living Room TV, Arcade Cabinet, Broadcast PVM, Trinitron Hi-Res Monitor, Green Phosphor Terminal, Amber Monitor, VHS Playback, Bad Reception, Security Monitor, Synthwave Neon, 1950s Wood Console and Clean Modern CRT. Load one, then adjust any slider from there.

• A Real Tube, Not an Overlay

Curved glass, rounded corners, vignette, glass glare and a bezel in any color. Scanlines get thicker on bright areas just like a real CRT, with a choice of aperture grille, slot mask or shadow-mask phosphors.

• Glow & Phosphor Color

Soft phosphor bloom and halation around bright areas. Go full color, or switch to a green, amber, white or custom-tint monochrome screen.

• Authentic Analog Signal

Composite color bleed, RGB misconvergence, ghosting, noise, RF snow, line jitter, hum bars and a rolling V-hold. Pixelate to any resolution for retro game footage.

• It Moves On Its Own

Picture breathing, drifting color fringes, a camera-style refresh bar, VHS tape dropouts, sync glitches and a crawling tracking band all animate automatically. Keyframe the Power slider for the classic TV switch-off, collapsing to a line and then a dot, or the Degauss slider for that wobbly rainbow “thunk”.

Requirements

DaVinci Resolve 18 or later (Free or Studio) on macOS, Windows or Linux. The optional Color page version needs DaVinci Resolve Studio 19.1 or later.
