The checker opens the finished book and works from what is actually printed: it counts the dots in a square array, reads the arrow against the printed number line, reads the mercury against the thermometer's marks, measures each drawn angle against its label, re-measures rectangles and triangles against their side labels, reads plotted points against the grid drawn on the page, counts spinner sectors and confirms the printed count matches, and checks every equality written in the worked examples and Let's-learn panels. If it couldn't check a question, that question didn't go in the book.
