The Excel tool built by a CRNA, for CRNAs — so you always know what you can spend, what's reserved for taxes, and what's yours to keep.

Picture this: You picked up a 1099 contract. The money hits differently. No employer withholding, no predictable paycheck, and suddenly you're the one responsible for knowing whether you can afford to pay yourself this month — or whether that direct deposit is already spoken for.

Most CRNAs figure this out the hard way through a tax bill they weren't ready for, a dry week between contracts, or a payroll run that wiped out more than they planned.

This planner exists so you don't have to learn that lesson twice.

What the 1099 CRNA Cash Flow Planner does

This is a purpose-built Excel workbook (can also be used with Google Sheets) that projects your cash position week by week across a full year — automatically, based on the shifts you actually work and the agencies you work with.

It's simple. You enter your shifts based on the hospital/agencies pay schedule and then the planner does the math.

Each week you get:

  • Your true ending bank balance (including the tax money sitting in reserve — because that money is still in your account)
  • Your spendable balance with the tax reserve stripped out
  • How much is safe to distribute above your personal reserve threshold
  • Whether you're above or below your safety net

The tax reserve actually works the way it should: The planner accumulates your tax set-aside week over week. When you log an IRS quarterly payment, the reserve automatically resets — no manual math, no spreadsheet gymnastics. You'll always see your net reserve after payments already made.

Set it up once, use it all year:

  • Up to 8 agencies with individual base rates, call rates, and per diem
  • S-Corp payroll that triggers on your actual pay schedule (monthly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly)
  • Fixed business expenses that hit on the day of the month you choose
  • A yearly tax rate that sets your set-aside percentage automatically

Built-in IRS quarterly tracker: Log each estimated tax payment with its due date and the date you actually paid. The planner tracks your status (✅ Paid / ⏳ Pending) and deducts confirmed payments from your running reserve balance.

Monthly summary tab: See your gross income, estimated taxes, and net earnings broken out by month for the whole year — useful come tax season, useful for spotting slow months before they sneak up on you.

Shift log with YTD totals: Every shift you log rolls into your year-to-date gross, taxes, and net. You'll always know where you stand.
